That last one is a make up case. Right now I have a random small copper cauldron filled with my stuffs. It’s a mess.

Molly has had Christmas parties every year, at least since middle school. Now that we’re all in college, It’s nice to be able catch up with everyone who is off living elsewhere or just been busy. We seem to have hit some critical age where now half of the gang is married, engaged or will be soon, and almost everyone is graduating college this year. When did we get to be so old?!

Last week I went up to Cleveland with my grandparents. Grandpa had some tests run for his heart surgery next month, and apparently only two hospitals can do his sort of procedure; one in Texas, and luckily, one in Ohio. Cleveland is four hours away, so it’s not particularly close, but it’s drivable for senior citizens, at least. Besides, of course, getting to spend time with my beloved grandparents who raised me for the most part, I also greatly appreciated being able to get out of this town at least ONCE during winter break.

I’m pretty sure there was some sort of massive seagull convention going on at Lake Erie. The Birds never scared me until I was faced with 100,000 birds myself.

We just took one quick drive through the city so there is nothing too exciting to report. I did get a whole lot of Chinese studying done, though! It’s amazing how productive I am when I’m not in Dayton. This city is some strange vortex of unproductivity.
I deleted the old blog, because I just don’t have the time or desire to run the sort of website that was trying to be. So, now ameyawarde.com is just going to be a personal blog. Lots of huge things are coming up in my life these next few years, so I’d like to be able to share them with friends & family (& whoever?) outside of livejournal (my regular haunt). I’m working on setting up the layout and sidebars and stuff, so hopefully by the new year everything will be all done!
Til then, here’s a picture from today. My lovely friend/sorority sister (twin/triplet, actually) Liz made me this letter hoodie for Christmas, and I am thrilled! I’ve wanted a Delta Zeta hoodie for about a year now, and little ms. santa claus surprised me out of the blue with it! The fabric for the letters are little pink & green hearts (our colors & also my favorite colors) and I think it’s pretty darn cute. Its rare that I’m ever actually pleasantly surprised with a gift, so eight trillion awesome points for Liz! <3!
